21 Σεπ 2016 · Lock screen was still that annoying-cave-entrance. No matter if I overwrite that Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Assets folder. No matter if I replace\edit anything in Windows\Web\Screen folder. Even gpedit.msc did not help. Lock screen/logon screen was still that frakin annoying-cave-entrancescreen.

Lock Screen Setting: When you select "Windows Spotlight" in Settings > Personalization > Lock Screen, the images will be downloaded from Microsoft Server by backgroundTaskHost.exe and saved in "C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Assets".
That will copy all of the previous and current lock screen photos from all users on the computer to your pictures in the public folder. From there you can go to C:\Users\Public\Pictures\ in the standard windows File Explorer and be able to access them in a GUI friendly way. I was going to have pictures but as a new user I can't post pictures yet.
18 Μαΐ 2021 · In Windows 10 it's easy to change the lock screen background image in Settings > Personalization > Lock screen. I have it set to Spotlight for my account. When I log out it displays the same thing it does when I lock, i.e., it displays my Spotlight. Presumably this is because I was the most recent person logged in.
