Oak Island’s Visible Historic Shipwreck. The Civil War Blockade Runner “Bendigo” can be seen at low tide off of Oak island’s “The Point” which is the Westernmost edge of the island. The Bendigo rests in the shallows, off shore, just East of the main channel of the Lockwoods Folly Inlet.

10 Απρ 2018 · On April 6, I wrote about the wreck of the ship at Lockwood Folly Inlet (Also called Lockwood's Folly Inlet) which was videoed by the drone. From the August 7, 2015, Carolina Sportsman "Have a wreck in Lockwood Folly Inlet and catch plenty of black drum" Brian Cope. The boat is next to two Civil War wrecks.
Cleburne and Churchill met Manson's brigade along the Richmond-Kingston Pike on August 29. The next day, the Confederates attacked and pushed Manson, reinforced by Cruft, northward towards Richmond. The modern day visitor center and museum are located in the 1811 Rogers farmhouse.
