4 Νοε 2021 · Looking Glass Falls is located 9 miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway on US 276 South in the Pisgah National Forest. Visible from the road, this scenic and popular waterfall plunges 60 feet into the pool below.
Looking Glass Falls Scenic Area. Area Status: Open. One of the most photographed waterfalls in the east. Located directly off of Hwy 276. Accessible top viewing deck, with stairs down to the creek. Be aware, there is no lifeguard on duty.
Framed by a towering, blocky cliff, the waterfall drops in a beautiful cascade into a deep, clear pool. In warm summer months, colorful wildflowers and vibrant green moss blanket the surrounding rock, drenched in the nearly continuous, cool spray of mist from the thundering falls.
