Lot (/ lɒt /; Hebrew: לוֹט Lōṭ, lit. "veil" or "covering"; [1] Greek: Λώτ Lṓt; Arabic: لُوط Lūṭ; Syriac: ܠܘܛ Lōṭ) was a man mentioned in the biblical Book of Genesis, chapters 11–14 and 19.
