Check for Recalls: Visit the website of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the official website of your vehicle’s manufacturer to check if your car is subject to any recalls. Enter your vehicle identification number (VIN) to obtain accurate and specific recall information.

The new tool is available on www.safercar.gov and provides consumers with a quick and easy way to identify uncompleted recalls by entering their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). All major light vehicle and motorcycle brands can be searched.
23 Νοε 2005 · In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Louisville Ladder Inc., of Louisville, Ky., is voluntarily recalling about 3,000 Multi-Purpose, Step-to-Straight, Combination, Manhole and Extension Trestle Ladders.
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the ladder immediately and contact Louisville Ladder for instructions on inspecting the ladder and receiving a free repair kit, if necessary.
