Born out of an intergovernmental agreement signed between France and the United Arab Emirates on 6 March 2007, the Louvre Abu Dhabi is the first universal museum in the Arab world. It brings the Louvre name to Abu Dhabi and presents both ancient and contemporary works of historic, cultural and sociological interest from around the world.
Our Visitor Services and Security staff are identifiable by their Louvre Abu Dhabi identity passes and uniforms. They are authorised by the Museum to ask you to comply with these visitor rules.
External guides may apply for a ‘right of speech’ to allow them to conduct tours at the museum. Please complete the application at least 24 hours prior to the visit date via the call centre (Tel: 600 565 566).
