27 Οκτ 2024 · Gen 1 LS Swap - Planning. I'm leaning heavily toward doing an LS swap into a Gen 1 S10. This will be my first swap and I plan to lean heavily on local (paid) assistance. Firstly, the intent is to use a crate engine & trans; likely LS3 & 4L75E. A few reasons, but primarily, this needs to be a reliable daily driver/trip vehicle.

13 Ιαν 2010 · i actually have the exact kit you are refering to from summit. the hedman kit comes with brp mounts and crossmember. the steering shaft clearance issue looks like it can be fixed with a steering shaft from an early 80s s10. im kinda worried about the clearance on passenger side though.

8 Ιουν 2008 · After washing the thrust surface on the crank due to a bad converter, I decided to go with an LS swap instead of rebuilding the gen 1 motor. I picked up a 2005 LQ4 from a 2500HD chevy with 40k miles for $1250.
