The Gen III PCMs require a 12V battery, switched ignition, ground, and a serial data circuit for programming. Many wire harness shops offer benchtop programming harnesses to power up and reprogram the PCM outside the vehicle.

Details: 2001 Trans Am 5.7L and 4L60E swapped into a 1978 C10. Truck Norris Cam. FTI 2,800 Converter. Shorty Headers. Everything else is original from the Trans Am.
