This bulletin provides information on diagnosing and/or repairing some 2011-2019MY vehicles (refer to table below for applicable model and engine), which may exhibit a symptom of excessive oil consumption. Follow the flowchart on page 2 and instructions outlined on page 3 in this procedure to repair a vehicle exhibiting excessive oil consumption.
23 Απρ 2022 · Right now, I can't find the TSB that I was looking for, but it did find the above picture, that shows the internals of the KIA Oil Filter. The KIA filter assures that the Variable Valve Timing mechanism gets the correct oil pressure to keep it working properly. Your FRAM, WIX, Purolator filters won't do that, and could cause problems in the engine.
7 Μαρ 2010 · If you do a search for oil pressure switch in the Rondo section on Kia tech info it gives you other sections mentioning the switch and diagrams of the switch, maybe one of the other diagrams will be clearer to you.
28 Νοε 2021 · A flickering oil pressure light can be caused by a faulty oil pressure sending unit or a worn or damaged oil pump but most likely the bearings are worn or the wrong thickness. When you rebuilt the engine, did you measure the rod journals to see if they were in spec?

Oil pressure sensors, also called oil pressure sending units, can fail in two ways; the diaphragm, spring or switch age and lose calibration and provide false indications, or the diaphragm or plastic housing cracks, allowing oil pressure to leak and cause a false pressure reading.
