10 Ιουν 2013 · 1. Christ has spiritual power to transform lives. It is interesting to compare this miracle with the one that immediately precedes it, the stilling of the storm. In that miracle, we see Christ’s power over nature; here, we see His power over the supernatural.
Jesus Restores a Demon-Possessed Man. 26 They sailed to the region of the Gerasenes,[a] which is across the lake from Galilee. 27 When Jesus stepped ashore, he was met by a demon-possessed man from the town.
A storm arose and threatened to swamp the boat, but Jesus rebuked the wind and waves, and the stormed immediately calmed. He asked his disciples, “Where is your faith?”—and they expressed amazement that he could control even the wind and waves (vv. 22-25). LUKE 8:26. THE COUNTRY OF THE GADARENES.
22 Ιουν 2004 · In Luke’s account, Jesus is acknowledged as “Jesus, Son of the Most High God” (Luke 8:28). When Jesus commanded the demons to come out of this man, whose demonized name was Legion, the demons began to speak through the man.

23 Ιουν 2013 · Verse 39 in this story is shorter but an equally urgent commission, given not only to the healed man in the story, but also to us: “Return to your home, and declare how much God has done for you”!
