29 Αυγ 2021 · In Luke 8:26-39 we read of a man who was possessed by demons, the servants of the devil. Can people be demon-possessed today? Sceptics deny the existence of the devil but the Scriptures teach he exists and is active. The devil who is Satan, ruined the lives of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden.
This country is “opposite Galilee” spiritually as well as geographically. It is Gentile country, and is the only account in this Gospel where Jesus travels to Gentile territory. In his two-volume work, Luke-Acts, Luke gradually reveals God’s concern for Gentiles.
10 Ιουν 2013 · 1. Christ has spiritual power to transform lives. It is interesting to compare this miracle with the one that immediately precedes it, the stilling of the storm. In that miracle, we see Christ’s power over nature; here, we see His power over the supernatural.

13 Ιουν 2016 · Luke 8:26-39 - Center for Excellence in Preaching. What do you suppose they were all so afraid of? After all, that is the bottom line of this dramatic and startling story in Luke 8: all the witnesses and all the townsfolk were afraid. What was it that did them in, fear-wise?
Ever since the fall into sin, clothes are a means to cover shame; but this man wants nothing to do with them and is trapped in a life of shame. He is alive, but he is driven to live in the tombs, perhaps dwelling in a cave among other caves that are used for the internment of remains.
