The Faith, Families and Community Partnerships Initiative unites people with lived experience together with human services professionals, people of faith and policymakers to reimagine the actions necessary to stabilize families and reduce the need for foster care.
In 2022, we: Focused on the alarming racial disparities in child welfare and child protective services involvement with families of color. Connected families to resources and supports, centering on prevention versus intervention. Decreased the length of stay for youth in foster care.

In 2019 and 2020 we celebrate 50 years of Lutheran women being ordained in the United States, 40 years of women of color being ordained, and 10 years of LGBTQIA+ individuals being able to serve freely.

The Lutheran faith preaches that whoever has faith in Jesus alone will receive salvation from the grace of God and will enter heaven for eternity. The key doctrine, or material principle, of Lutheranism is the doctrine of justification.
