I. Preamble. The California Standard Admission Agreement is an admission contract that this Facility is required by state law and regulation to use. It is a legally binding agreement that defines the rights and obligations of each person (or party) signing the contract.
When you are admitted to a nursing home, you will be asked to sign an admission agreement that explains your rights and responsibilities and those of the nursing home. In years past, this involved signing contracts written by nursing homes that often contained deceptive or illegal terms.
CNEI’s LVN program provides the theoretical and practical knowledge that will have you career ready and in demand as a Vocational Nurse in 14 months. Successful completion of CNEI’s Vocational Nursing Program makes you eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).
One (1) of the two years must be verifiable experience as a licensed nurse providing care and services to chronically ill or elderly patients in in an acute care hospital, skilled nursing facility, intermediate care facility, home care, hospice care, or other long-term care setting.
Requirements for vocational nurse licensure are specified in the Vocational Nursing Practice Act. There are five (5) methods by which one may qualify for the licensure examination. Each method is designed to provide an individual access into the job market as an entry-level practitioner.
Pursuant to Business and Professions Code Sections 2880 and 4530, the Board prepares and maintains a list of programs which offer an approved program for vocational nurses and/or psychiatric technicians.
