  1. The California colleges Nursing and Allied Health programs provide instruction leading to a certificate, associate degrees, and transfers to four-year institutions. Our goals are to: Improve the employability of newly graduated nurses and allied health professionals to function as safe and effective patient care practitioners

  2. Mendocino College currently offers a 2-year Registered Nursing Program and a 3-semester LVN-to-RN Bridge Program. Students who successfully complete the program are awarded the Associate of Science Degree in Nursing and are eligible to sit for the California State Board of Registered Nursing Licensing Exam (NCLEX-RN).

  3. 6 Σεπ 2024 · California Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN'S) are eligible to apply for a one-year transition program known as the Step-Up LVN to ADN Program. The program is three semesters in total (spring-fall-spring).

  4. LVN to ADN is funded through a $10 surcharge for renewal and licensure fees of Registered Nurses (RN) in California. Eligible applicants may receive up to $8,000 in exchange for a 12-month service obligation practicing and providing direct patient care in an underserved community.

  5. The LVN to RN Upward Mobility Program is a one or one and a half-year, full-time program. It is based on space availability and designed for currently licensed vocational nurses (LVN) wishing to become registered nurses (RN).

  7. To be eligible for an LVN to ADN award, each applicant must: • Start training program by September 30, 2023 • Be enrolled in a minimum of six semester units, or its equivalent, until program completion
