I came across Mike's model A parts dealer and they where offering a really nice steel boat-tail speedster body, so I contacted them and unfortunately the man that made the bodies had a heart attack and is no longer making them, so back to square one.

Attatched are some pictures of my boat tail speedster, courtesy of my son's expertise on the computer. The timber frame shows how it all began. The long top timbers were laminated for strength and are one piece all the way back to the point.
Hello, I want to build a Model T speedster boat tail. Does anyone have any plans for that? I would like to piece it together from the ground up. I think the hardest part will be finding a good frame. Any information on this would be great. In the end I am going to be giving it to my dad for his 75th birthday present.
1915 Kuempel Red-I-Kut Model T Ford Speedster. This is a great and authentic Model T speedster with a known history and has had only four owners since it was built in St. Louis in the 1920s. From my research, this may be the only surviving original Kuempel boat tail speedster body in existence.
This car was built using a body created by the late Paul Larson who found the original boat tail in a field near a race track in Clear Lake Idaho. The original body was steel and squashed and although badly rusted he restored it enough to get all the dimensions to recreate a couple duplicates.
