20 Αυγ 2021 · Finder sidebar icons not showing correctly. Hi all, Some of the icons in my sidebar are not showing correctly. Things I've tried so far: Resetting PRAM. Checking in "Users & Groups" preferences to make sure that it's linked to the correct user file. Disabling Finder Extensions. Relaunching Finder. Nothing has helped so far. Any suggestions?
You can reset OS X's icon cache with the following commands. Just copy and paste each into a Terminal window and then reboot your Mac. sudo find /private/var/folders/ -name com.apple.dock.iconcache -exec rm {} \; sudo find /private/var/folders/ -name com.apple.iconservices -exec rm -rf {} \; sudo rm -rf /Library/Caches/com.apple.iconservices.store

16 Φεβ 2023 · There are a number of possible reasons why desktop icons may have disappeared on your Mac. And most of them can be easily fixed. Settings in the Finder have changed so that external hard drives and servers are no longer visible on the desktop. Stacks are enabled in the Finder.
You can find the Applications folder by clicking on the Finder icon in the Dock. Then typing ⌘ + ⇧ + G. In the sheet window opened type /Applications. The Finder will the Go the folder. From there, just drag it back to your Dock. If you're talking about the App Store icon: Invoke Spotlight, type App Store and then ⌘ + ⏎.
