31 Ιουλ 2015 · He fights with Macduff only when Macduff threatens to capture him and display him as a public spectacle. Macduff kills Macbeth, cuts off his head, and brings it to Malcolm. With Macbeth dead, Malcolm is now king and gives new titles to his loyal supporters. Act 5, scene 8 ⌜

Realizing the game is up, Macbeth challenges him anyway (“Lay on, Macduff”) and is killed. Ross informs Siward that his son is dead, and Siward takes comfort in the fact that he died with...
They exit fighting. Trumpets. They reenter, still fighting, and MACBETH is killed. A trumpet sounds a call to retreat. Another trumpet sounds a call of victory. MALCOLM, Old SIWARD, ROSS, the other THANES, and SOLDIERS enter, with a drummer and flag.
Ross informs Siward that Young Siward is dead, but the old man is not too fussed once he is reassured that the young man died fighting. Macduff, the only missing commander, enters, carrying Macbeth’s head, and salutes Malcolm as King of Scotland.
Act 5 Scene 7. Young Siward encounters Macbeth, and dies attempting to engage him. Macduff searches for Macbeth, insisting that if Macbeth dies at the hands of someone else the death of his wife and children will haunt him forever. Malcolm and Siward enter Macbeth’s castle.
31 Ιουλ 2015 · Act 5, scene 5 Macbeth is confident that he can withstand any siege from Malcolm’s forces. He is then told of Lady Macbeth’s death and of the apparent movement of Birnam Wood toward Dunsinane Castle, where he waits.
