26 Νοε 2017 · To replace the generic dock icons with the actual application icon, here's what I did: Right click on the generic dock icon; Choose Remove from Dock; Open the application from the Applications Folder in Finder; Drag the application back to the Dock; The new dock icon should be the proper one.
You can find the Applications folder by clicking on the Finder icon in the Dock. Then typing ⌘ + ⇧ + G. In the sheet window opened type /Applications. The Finder will the Go the folder. From there, just drag it back to your Dock. If you're talking about the App Store icon: Invoke Spotlight, type App Store and then ⌘ + ⏎.
26 Δεκ 2009 · Do this, in the Finder go up to the Finder menu and select Preferences. Click "Sidebar" in the toolbar. Verify that all the items under "Shared" are checked. If this doesn't resolve your issue then go to: Home folder / Library / Preferences. Scroll down to the file labeled... com.apple.sidebarlists.plist.
17 Δεκ 2019 · It sometimes lists up to A to G and the rests folder disappears. It is very inconsistent. After unmounting it and mounting back the network, it lists all the folders again. 1 Answer. Sorted by: 2. To make a Dock shortcut: Drag the mounted share icon from the desktop to the Dock, in the end near Downloads and Documents. To make a desktop Alias: Select (click to highlight) the network share on the desktop and press Command+L (or from the Finder File menu, choose Make Alias.)

29 Δεκ 2022 · If you can’t find the app you’re looking for in the Applications folder under Finder, go to the Applications folder at the root level and the app should be there. Alternatively, you can use System Information to detect the location of the problematic app.
