29 Μαρ 2018 · The printer is working fine and I can print from the control bar (file print etc.). The problem I am asking about is that the printer icon that used to be on my task bar, is nowhere to be found and I can't click and drag it to the task bar because I can't find it anywhere.
You can find the Applications folder by clicking on the Finder icon in the Dock. Then typing ⌘ + ⇧ + G. In the sheet window opened type /Applications. The Finder will the Go the folder. From there, just drag it back to your Dock. If you're talking about the App Store icon: Invoke Spotlight, type App Store and then ⌘ + ⏎.
26 Νοε 2017 · To replace the generic dock icons with the actual application icon, here's what I did: Right click on the generic dock icon; Choose Remove from Dock; Open the application from the Applications Folder in Finder; Drag the application back to the Dock; The new dock icon should be the proper one.
If you can’t add the printer because it doesn’t appear in the list of available printers, it may be turned off, or your Mac may be on a different network now. If the printer was shared by another user, the user may have stopped sharing it, or the user’s Mac may be offline.

25 Φεβ 2021 · The printer shortcut (?) icon appeared when I dragged & dropped my printer icon from System Prefs, etc. to replace the large white question mark on the dock. I succeeded in doing that, but suddenly a printer icon popped up on the desktop.
