The Mace of Disruption is one of the 'scissor paper rock' weapons, in that it deals impressive damage. It does depend on the enemies in the campaign. If you start giving it a bonus to attack and damage rolls, it'd be getting closer to a Sunblade - if you make it sentient, then it'd be closer to the Sun Sword/Dawnbringer from the modules.
