The MacGregor 19 is a recreational motorsailer, built predominantly of fiberglass. Early production boats had a fractional sloop rig, while later ones had a masthead sloop rig. The hull has a raked stem , a slightly angled transom , dual transom-hung rudders controlled by a tiller and a retractable centerboard .

Macgregor 19 is a 5.7 m monohull sailboat designed by Roger MacGregor and built by Macgregor Yacht Corp between 1992 and 1995. The theoretical maximum speed that a displacement hull can move efficiently through the water is determined by it's waterline length and displacement.
The Mac 19 is still very roomy with lots of storage space and has room to sleep for 5. It also has a queen size berth under the cockpit! Very fast, easy to rig, easy to launch, easy to sail and very light (about 1,600 lbs including trailer).
12 Οκτ 2010 · I believe the Mac 19 was the prototype for the 26X/26M motorsailers. It was built with a hard-chine "powerboat" hull, and of course those water ballast tanks and a lightweight centerboard (with a truly awkward cable run for the centerboard pendant).
