23 Δεκ 2021 · Macondé viewpoint is without a doubt the most popular viewpoint in Mauritius, providing unparalleled views over the turquoise waters of the southwest coast and Le Morne Brabant. Located in the village of Baie du Cap, along a hairpin bend, the viewpoint can be accessed from the main road through a narrow set of stairs.
We visited this vantage point on our tour of southern Mauritius. The 180° curve is already very impressive. The view of the outer reef is no less impressive. One should be lucky, because this point is a tourist magnet. During our visit we were alone for a short time and could also enjoy the sight of the curve.
Maconde Peak Viewpoint. Maconde is located on the southwest tip of Mauritius and you’ll be in for a treat if you like cliffs or bird’s eye view of the ocean.
