  2. 10 Ιουν 2020 · At its simplest, evolution is any change in heritable traits in a population of organisms across generations. These changes may be the result of natural selection, genetic drift, mutation, etc – processes that we will consider in depth later in the course.

  3. Macroevolution is evolution on a grand scale — what we see when we look at the over-arching history of life: stability, change, lineages arising, and extinction. Here, you can examine the patterns of macroevolution in evolutionary history and find out how scientists investigate deep history.
