Magic Mountain is a ski resort located on Glebe Mountain in Londonderry, Vermont. It features a 1,500-foot vertical drop. The summit is at 2,850 feet and the base at 1,350 feet. Magic has a long history, dating from the 1960s when ski instructor and film-maker Hans Thorner founded the area as its terrain reminded him of his native Swiss Alps.
Currently our snowmaking system covers 60% of our trails, including the steeper West Side trails, to insure quality skiing even when New England weather doesn’t always cooperate. Our grooming team lays down some of the best corduroy skiing and riding that lasts longer with our capacity limits.
Combined with tree-skiing from boundary-to-boundary, Magic’s terrain is what separates this ski area from all others in southern Vermont and the East Coast—virtually unchanged since the 1960s. 1500 FT OF REAL VERT

While it’s not Deer Valley, the ski area still earns high marks for service (No. 3), and it’s this combined with the down-home feel that likely earns the mountain its No. 3 spot in Overall Satisfaction. “For Magic, it’s all about the vibe.
