Magic is a simple mountain to navigate with all trails ending up at the base lodge area. The mountain is divided into “east” and “west” sides from the summit. The east side of Magic offers the full spectrum of terrain from steep, narrow, mandatory-air runs to wide-open, beautifully groomed cruisers.
18 Οκτ 2024 · Middlebury College, 13 miles from the mountain, has operated the Snowbowl in the heart of the Green Mountains since 1934, making it one of New England's oldest ski areas. Three lifts access its 17 trails, which traverse more than 700 acres of skiable terrain.

6 Μαρ 2015 · For those familiar with other Vermont Ski Areas, Magic is sort of like combining the community vibe of Mad River Glen with the terrain of Smugglers Notch. However, even that comparison doesn't truly capture the vibe at Magic.
Magic is about 3 hours driving from Boston and 4 hours from New York City. Manchester is ~25 minutes away. Magic Mountain is part of the 'Golden Triangle' and only 10-15 minutes from Stratton or Bromley. When in Southern Vermont, definitely consider spending a day here.
Combined with tree-skiing from boundary-to-boundary, Magic’s terrain is what separates this ski area from all others in southern Vermont and the East Coast—virtually unchanged since the 1960s. The second aspect of what truly separates Magic, is the people who come here.
