Michigan Medicine uses Microsoft Outlook for email, calendar, contact lists, and task management. Use your uniqname and UMICH password to log into Outlook. If you are new to Michigan Medicine, you will receive your @med.umich.edu email account and uniqname at orientation.
To log in to your U-M Google Mail on the web: Go to mail.umich.edu using a web browser. Google Chrome is recommended, but any supported browser should work. Enter your uniqname and UMICH password via U-M Weblogin. (You may need to authenticate using Duo two-factor authentication, too.) You will then be routed to your U-M Google Mail.
Michigan Medicine: You can access U-M Google services (except Gmail and Calendar) using your @umich.edu email address and UMICH password.
Email includes Contacts, Tasks, and Chat. Google Calendar provides an easy means of scheduling appointments, sharing and publishing calendars, and keeping your schedule at your fingertips—from your desk, your mobile device, or anywhere you have internet access.
Gmail: mail.umich.edu; email.umich.edu; Calendar: calendar.umich.edu; Drive: drive.umich.edu; Enter your uniqname and UMICH password. Complete Duo two-factor authentication. Navigate to your Google Account. Use the link: myaccount.google.com. Click Sign in. Enter your uniqname@umich.edu email address and click Next to reach the U-M Weblogin.
Incoming mail server: imap.gmail.com. Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.mail.umich.edu. User Name: Your University of Michigan email address (e.g., [email protected] ).
