You may request a change of major by submitting an online application through StudentAccess. (See exceptions below.) The standard criterion for eligibility to change your major requires that you are in good academic standing.
New graduate students can make change by completing this form with Graduate Division. If you are a former student and unable to access StudentAccess, you may make changes to your contact information by visiting or submitting a written and signed request to the Registrar's Office.
Visit the Registrar's Office. If you are a newly admitted undergraduate or graduate student, you may make changes to your contact information using the same methods as current students after the Thursday of the second week of instruction.
Change of major is not automatic. If you are eligible to change, submit a Change of Major Application online through by going to Student Access> Applications> Change of Major. (Note that to apply, all of the Change of Major Criteria must be completed and grades must be posted on your transcript.)
If you are going to double major in two different Schools, it is advised you meet with a counselor in each School. COMPLETE the Change of Major criteria for the major you want to add. SUBMIT the application through Student Access (under Applications > Change of Major). Please note: A 3.0 cumulative GPA is required to double major.
