22 Νοε 2016 · I get asked this regularly and the easiest way to do this is to just set up Apple Mail with your email account and then change the default email application to Outlook. You don't have to use Apple Mail again after that.
Making Outlook the default email composition app. If you are able to open the Apple Mail app (most people do since it comes preinstalled with macOS), the steps to configure Outlook as your default email app are as follows: Open Apple Mail. Open the Preferences menu, then select General.
To change the default mail account, simply drag and drop the email account you want to set as the default to the top of the list. The account at the top will become the default account for sending and receiving emails.
On the Outlook menu, click Tools > Accounts. Select the account you want to make the default. Click the Settings icon at the bottom of the pane, and then click Set as default.
