in: Quark. Rune. The Runes are a group of items added by Quark. They can be found in dungeons and function as Enchanted Books; they can be used to give a tool or weapon an enchantment in an Anvil. The color of the Rune used changes a tool or armor piece's enchantment overlay color.
My sons and I had a combination of runes that spawned both a witch and vanguard in one ancient hunt (our first!) without needing to double the first or third runes. If you stack items with multiple runes, you can have a bunch of potential ancient mobs spawn in the same epic ancient hunt!

At the spot where you get ambushed, just before you reach the Blue Key, you can find a switch behind the palm tree and small wall section next to the water to the left.
