24 Αυγ 2021 · This article provides an overview of primary malignant and nonmalignant brain and other CNS tumor incidence, mortality, and survival rates and trends in the United States, as well as differences in occurrence by major histologic subtype, anatomic site, geography, race/ethnicity, and sex.
1 Νοε 2023 · Another research study aims to evaluate the survival rate for glioma (one of the major brain tumors) using different MRI techniques. A decision tree and cross-validation techniques were used to calculate survival estimations based on 4524 radiomic features derived from segmented tumor regions.
Using statistical models for analysis, age-adjusted rates for new brain and other nervous system cancer cases have been falling on average 1.2% each year over 2012–2021. Age-adjusted death rates have been stable over 2013–2022. 5-year relative survival trends are shown below.
