Runaway Bay is a town in Saint Ann Parish on the northern coast of Jamaica and is considered one of the most naturally beautiful places on the island. It is a notable tourist destination located 16 km west of Ocho Rios , and slightly east of Discovery Bay , where Christopher Columbus landed in 1494.

Runaway Bay is a beautiful spot on the north coast. The public beach is great for snorkeling, swimming, sunbathing, and walking. There are a few vendors with shops at one end for shopping. Runaway Bay is in a good location..far enough outside Ocho Rios to be less touristy, but close enough to get to shopping and nightlife.
Runaway Bay is a great beach in the northern suburbs of St. John's - the capital city of Antigua island. The south end of the beach is wild and most beautiful. The central beach area has a breakwater featuring Witty's restaurant (formerly Lobster Shack).
Just ten miles west of Ocho Rios, Runaway Bay's stunning beaches see far fewer footprints than its neighbors. It's also removed from the cruise ship herds and pushy vendors. Perfect for those happy not to wander far from their resort, there are a few nearby attractions nonetheless.
