The public beach is great for snorkeling, swimming, sunbathing, and walking. There are a few vendors with shops at one end for shopping. Runaway Bay is in a good location..far enough outside Ocho Rios to be less touristy, but close enough to get to shopping and nightlife. It's a good home base for touring the countryside too.
