The following table provides release history information and download links for Office for Mac. The table is ordered by release date, with the most recent release date listed first. The build date is listed in parentheses, in a YYMMDD format, after the version number. All releases after August 22, 2016 are 64-bit only.
Office for Mac that comes with a Microsoft 365 subscription is updated on a regular basis to provide new features, security updates, and non-security updates. Updates are available from Microsoft AutoUpdate (MAU).
Open the Mac App Store from your Dock or Finder. Select Updates on the left side menu, then select Update All, or the Update button next to the apps that you want to update.
The 64-bit version is installed by default unless Microsoft 365 or Office detects you already have a 32-bit version of Microsoft 365 or Office (or a stand-alone app such as Project or Visio) installed.

22 Ιουλ 2024 · The msupdate tool can be used to start the update process for Microsoft applications produced for Mac, such as Office. The tool is primarily designed to give IT administrators more precise control over when updates are applied.
To install either the 32 or 64-bit version of Microsoft 365, Office 2021, or Office 2019, follow the steps in Install Office on a PC. Important: If you install the 64-bit version, but want the 32-bit version instead, you must first uninstall the 64-bit version before installing the 32-bit version.
