Historically Wisconsin railroads have featured everything from intermodal and ore traffic to main lines and light density branch lines (many of these served grain elevators or other agricultural traffic).
This map shows railroad routes. County boundaries, towns, rivers, lakes, Lake Michigan and Superior are also labeled. The upper margin includes a color legend for the Milwaukee, Lake Shore & Western Railway (RED), the Chicago & Northwestern Railway (BLUE), and the Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis & Omaha Railway (MAROON).
