Margaret Salinger ( born 1955) is the daughter of J.D. Salinger, author of the book Catcher in the Rye. In 2000 she published Dream Catcher: A Memoir, ISBN 0-671-04282-3, a "tell-all" book about her father. She lives in Massachusetts with her son.

Margaret A. Salinger grew up in Cornish, N.H. She earned her B.A. from Brandeis University summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa. She has a graduate degree in Management Studies from Oxford University, and attended Harvard Divinity School as a Williams Scholar.
