Out-of-state participants should check with the department of motor vehicles in their home state to find out if they will issue a motorcycle license for a course completed in Maryland. If an individual’s home state requires any course documentation please contact the Program office for assistance.

Training is provided by certified MVA and Motorcycle Safety Foundation instructors. Upon successful completion, individuals with a Maryland driver’s license will have course completion information submitted directly to the MVA, indicating MVA requirements have been met for a Class "M" license.
Successful completion of a MDMSP Basic or Advanced Course waives the requirement to take a written and skills test at the Maryland MVA Driver License Center and automatically earns the student a Completion Certificate.
