14 Αυγ 2024 · Togakure-ryū Ninpo (戸隠流忍法) is one of the oldest schools of ninjutsu and a traditional Japanese martial art. With a history spanning over 900 years, this school traces its origins back to the late Heian period (794-1185).
Togakure-ryū (戸隠流) is a historical tradition of ninjutsu known as the "School of the Hidden Door", allegedly founded during the Oho period (1161–1162) by Daisuke Nishina (仁科大助) (a.k.a. Daisuke Togakure (戸隠大助)), who learned his original fighting techniques from a Chinese monk named Kain Dōshi. [1]

The 2nd generation Togakure Daisuke (Kanesada) became famous as a Togakure Ryu Ninja. After the battle between the North and South Emperors, many of the defeated soldiers took refuge in those same mountains and their input into Iga and Koga revolutionized Ninjutsu.
