How is charging fucked up when he owns hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of off road recovery equipment? He owns a business and has plenty of employees he has to pay for their time.

1 Δεκ 2021 · Recovery rates in Utah are capped at $165 an hour. The two Towing companies I dealt with (the first one I called didn't have the equipment to haul my car off the trail) both charge exactly that for off-road recoveries.

27 Φεβ 2024 · How Much Does This Cost? Wasn't there some controversy with this guy a couple years ago relating to insurance? Yes, but that was only because he was steering the 'stuck' person to insurance. But as I recall that was only around he was trying to deflect the cost to the insurance companies. I remember reading about that and there were a few videos.
I would guess Matt charges for the recoveries we don’t see, mainly the crashed side by sides and rental cars stuck in sand traps. However I think most of the recoveries we see on the channel are done for free or at a much reduced cost (no cost for 10 hrs of travel).
