30 Μαΐ 2019 · This McGowen barreled R700 will do this as consistently as the shooter can keep it together. It has shot several 5 shot one hole groups and sometimes it puts 5 in the .4s but it is a good shooting rifle for the money I have in it. It's a consistently accurate sub 1/2 MOA rifle to 1000 yds.

30 Σεπ 2022 · I have a McGowen 260 barrel on a Rem 700 right now and have had 2 on XP-100s in the past. I have yet to find a load the 260 doesn't like. That being said, I am not looking for BR accuracy, but everything from 120s to 143s have shot below or just over 1". The XPs also shot great.
25 Νοε 2014 · I've had 9 McGowan barrels and still have 4 and they've all been .5 MOA or better. 6 of the barrels regularly do (or did) put out .3 MOA groups. These were all just Savage prefits. You won't be disappointed by the Brux though, they're always a good pick.
I have a mcgowan on my 300wm. As others have said, reviews show that mcgowen in the past was hit or miss on quality. If i remember my research correctly, i had found an ownership change sometime around 2010-2014. My order was in 2017. Got the barrel screwed on using their barrel nut and it shoots great. 1.
1 Ιουν 2008 · Those of us lucky enough to get in good with the Rangemaster and Training Coordinator get pretty broad access to the facilites as long as no training or outside agencies are on the range. 50 yard pistol range is fully automated with poppers, moving targets, and target stands, 200yd rifle range is also automated in the same fashion.
1 Μαρ 2016 · I am currently running a .260AI McGowen prefit on my Savage Match rifle and it is by far the most accurate barrel I own. This thing shoots fantastic and has put me at the top or second place in all of our local matches over the last couple years. I also built a 6mmBR for my wife with a McGowen that also shoots very well.
