30 Μαΐ 2019 · This McGowen barreled R700 will do this as consistently as the shooter can keep it together. It has shot several 5 shot one hole groups and sometimes it puts 5 in the .4s but it is a good shooting rifle for the money I have in it. It's a consistently accurate sub 1/2 MOA rifle to 1000 yds.

30 Σεπ 2022 · I have a McGowen 260 barrel on a Rem 700 right now and have had 2 on XP-100s in the past. I have yet to find a load the 260 doesn't like. That being said, I am not looking for BR accuracy, but everything from 120s to 143s have shot below or just over 1". The XPs also shot great.
12 Δεκ 2020 · I have heard a mix bag of reviews on the McGowen barrels. I ordered one last year simply because of the lead times on when I needed it. I have been able to work up loads in that 3/4 MOA range without a ton of trouble.
9 Μαΐ 2021 · I have three McGowen Remage barrels: .260 Ackley, .243 Ackley, .22-250 Ackley (see a trend?). All mounted on Remington actions that had the action and bolt faces trued. All are shooters. I plan to order another in 6mm Creedmoor when they have their next sale.
21 Αυγ 2020 · I have a mcgowan on my 300wm. As others have said, reviews show that mcgowen in the past was hit or miss on quality. If i remember my research correctly, i had found an ownership change sometime around 2010-2014. My order was in 2017. Got the barrel screwed on using their barrel nut and it shoots great. 1.
16 Αυγ 2011 · Hey guys I had a fun day at the range today with my Mcgowen barreled 1022s. I decided to run some match ammo down the tubes. Here is some of the results from the Tan stocked 1022 with the Mcgowen 24 inch barrel at 50 yards (5 shot groups). It was fun. John
