Contouring at McGowen Precision Barrels is done on state-of-the-art CNC equipment. We offer not only our standard McGowen contours, we also provide contours from Shilen, Douglas and Pac Nor as standard contours, along with contours that are standard for Remington and Savage.

Octagon Barrels. All of our Octagon barrels are cut on a CNC Machining Center making whatever you can dream up, we can do it. You want a traditional octagon, no problem. You want an octagon in a McGowen #4 contour, no problem! We also do Dodecagon barrels.
The stainless, Sendero contoured, blanks are 26" and can finish at 26" or less. The Sendero is a Sporter contour tapering to. 820" at 26" and weighs about 4.5 lbs. These McGowen barrels are air gauged, stainless barrel, select match grade, button pulled rifling, lapped, factory contoured barrel.

28 Σεπ 2010 · Barrels from McGowen are currently all button rifled, but starting in 2011 cut rifled barrels will become a standard offering as well. Calibers and twists already cover an impressive range from .17 to .50 caliber in a wide variety of twist rates, all displayed on the company website.
