9 Μαΐ 2021 · I've got a CarbonSix barrel on my 7 STW, which is a McGowen blank that is carbon wrapped. It shoots tiny groups. Put together a Remage 280AI with a Criterion barrel.
16 Ιαν 2014 · Im going to order a 24" barrel for a 7mm-08 build and cant decide which one I want to go with. Its going to be an all around multi-purpose hunting (whitetail, varmint)/ target rifle. The extra weight isn't going to bother me carrying it.
30 Μαΐ 2019 · This is an internal look at my McGowen Barrel Chambered in 6XC. I now have 143 rounds down it and have developed two loads that consistently shoot 0.33", 3 shot groups at 100 yds.
As others have said, reviews show that mcgowen in the past was hit or miss on quality. If i remember my research correctly, i had found an ownership change sometime around 2010-2014. My order was in 2017.
