9 Μαΐ 2021 · I like McGowen barrels and get a new barrel every year for one of a bunch of rifles. Excellent service & product. Gun-smith great to work with, personal attention to project and chambers barrel as per dummy cartridge. My last one was a 8 twist 6mm-06. Large selection of barrel contours, chambering, and actions.
19 Ιουν 2010 · Hello Hiders, wondering if anyone has tried a barrel from McGowen Precision. I'm looking at possibly buying a new barrel for a savage action from them in .223. The purpose is for paper punching and prairie dog hunting, so accuracy is THE main goal.
I have a mcgowan on my 300wm. As others have said, reviews show that mcgowen in the past was hit or miss on quality. If i remember my research correctly, i had found an ownership change sometime around 2010-2014. My order was in 2017. Got the barrel screwed on using their barrel nut and it shoots great. 1.
30 Σεπ 2022 · I've put 6 McGowen barrels on rifles and they have all been good shooters. Or at least as expected. Not all of these were precision firearms. They are one of the easiest companies to deal with when it comes to custom contours. I'll not wade into the debate on best barrel makers. McGowen makes a quality product on the whole, IMO. Jeremy
