The attractive McNab dog is also known as the McNab Shepherd or McNab Collie. This very lively dog originated in the Mendocino region of Northern California, being specifically bred to withstand tough weather conditions and rough terrain. The dog is becoming popular outside of California now.
Breed Characteristics. Head: Mesaticephalic skull type, moderate in size, wedge-shaped, and in proportion with the rest of the body. The head is clean-cut and without excess skin or wrinkles. The topskull is fairly broad from the front and somewhat flat to just slightly arched in profile.
