Coin grading[1] is the process of determining the grade or condition of a coin, one of the key factors in determining its collectible value. A coin's grade is generally determined by six criteria: strike, preservation, luster, color, attractiveness, and occasionally the country/state in which it was minted.

Coin grading typically uses terms like "MS" (Mint State) for uncirculated coins or various grades like "VF" (Very Fine), "AU" (About Uncirculated), and "XF" (Extremely Fine) for circulated coins. It's possible that "SPMA" is not a widely recognized grading term
Gold Dollar – Small gold coins with a denomination of $1 struck from 1849 until 1889. Gold Dust – Technically, raw or native gold in powdered or granular form, as mined or processed. Sometimes used in newspaper accounts to refer to gold bullion in general.

The resulting coins usually have a mirror field and raised areas are frosted in appearance. Those conservation states are only informative. Sometimes, on our website, we use "+" to show the coin is near to the superior grade. For example, a coin called F+ is near to be VF.
