17 Αυγ 2022 · Straight-chain aliphatic aldehydes were repeatedly detected in the breath of patients suffering from lung diseases using a variety of methods, such as mass spectrometry, ion mobility spectrometry, or electro-chemical sensors.
Results of test burns indicate that dramatically increased levels of aldehydes are produced from alcohol-containing fuels (Swarin and Lipari 1983). These higher levels could be well within the range that induces adverse health effects.
31 Ιουλ 2019 · Here, we discuss the environmental sources of reactive aldehydes and the potential health implications particularly for those with an ALDH2*2 genetic variant. We also suggest when considering the ALDH2*2 genetic variant the safety limits of reactive aldehyde exposure may have to be reevaluated.
Nowadays, this reaction of β-diketone ester, an aldehyde and ammonia or an alkylamine is actively used for the spectrofluorometric determination of a wide range of non-fluorescent substances which contain a primary amino group, as well as for FA detection.

23 Απρ 2021 · For formaldehyde, the EU Carcinogens and Mutagens Directive of 2019 has recently introduced binding occupational exposure limit (BOEL) values of 0.37 mg m −3 (0.3 ppm) for long-term exposure (8-hour time-weighted average) and of 0.74 mg m −3 (0.6 ppm) for short-term exposure (15 min) for all work sectors, and a specific 8-h limit value of 0 ...
23 Νοε 2019 · Aldehydes and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are chemicals categorized with boiling points from 50–100 °C to 240–260 °C; therefore, they can be found indoors in the gaseous phase. Formaldehyde is a dominant aldehyde found indoors.
