best medications for intrusive thoughts/ocd? I know different drugs work for different people and there's no way to know what's best until I find what's right for me. Out of sheer curiosity, what medication helped your symptoms the most?
So for my fellow anxious people that take medication, do you feel like meds have reduced your inner battles or has made you feel less in the need to distort those thoughts/images? Has it worked for you?
I was wondering what meds worked for you guys? I already have had trouble with meds like Zoloft, Wellbutrin, Letuda and lexapro. All of which I’ve had nasty side effects with. I recently got diagnosed with OCD and I’m worried because I don’t want my feelings to be numbed, I just want to be happy.

Risperidone helped. 0.5mg twice a day. I've since come off of all my meds except my mood stabilizer and I've actually been okay. Turned out my Wellbutrin was giving me massive anxiety and making my intrusive thoughts worse. I still get intrusive thoughts but not as frequent or loud.
