10 Σεπ 2018 · My issue is that at random times, AutoCAD will freeze for anywhere from 1-10 minutes and just ramp up RAM usage. The only way to relieve the allocation is to completely shut down the program. Closing individual drawings changes nothing. Here is a screenshot of it happening.
18 Φεβ 2017 · Is there a way to make AutoCAD to allocate more memory? Solved: I got 16 GB of memory in my computer. Autocad never uses more then 6-7 GB and often stops responding and I have to kill the process!
24 Ιαν 2012 · Autocad works fine but still getting the memory allocation error when I try to plot to a system printer. 2. I then removed Autocad LT, reinstalled in compatibilty mode for Windows 98, and downloaded the plotupdate.exe.

If you notice increased hard drive activity, it means that physical memory has been exceeded and data is being passed to a swap file (virtual memory). A swap file is an area on the hard drive that the operating system uses as if it were physical memory (RAM).
