Memphis Soul is a Premiere Motown & Classic Dance Band in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex Area. Memphis Soul is a classy, high energy 8 piece group showcasing a distinctive sound and style inspired by such artists as Earth, Wind and Fire, Otis Redding, Al Green, Sam Cooke, and Aretha Franklin.

Memphis Soul is an 8 piece Motown and classic dance band in DFW providing lights, sound, and music. We specialize in weddings, corporate events, and festivals. Most of our performance focuses on the rich musical legacy of the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s.
Memphis soul, also known as the Memphis sound, is the most prominent strain of Southern soul. It is a shimmering, sultry style produced in the 1960s and 1970s at Stax Records and Hi Records in Memphis, Tennessee, featuring melodic unison horn lines, organ, guitar, bass, and a driving beat on the drums.
