29 Αυγ 2024 · We are excited to announce that the International Mentorship Applications are open now! The International Mentorship Association (IMA) Program works to pair international students (mentees) with experienced students (mentors) currently at UF.
Assist your incoming Mentees as they adjust to life at FAMU and in Tallahassee, FL (e.g. offering advice on cultural adjustment, academics, campus resources, and the wider city). Attend and assist with Fall and Spring International Student Orientation Sessions.
25 Αυγ 2024 · Mentors will have the invaluable opportunity to meet and become acquainted with new international students and will benefit from being involved in this program in the following ways: Share and learn more about cultures and traditions, and in some cases, practice a foreign language.
Discover how the peer mentor role intersects with students’ future career goals by presenting professionalism tips and mentoring boundaries. This workshop also highlights the marketable professional skills of mentoring with strategies to share the professional mentoring experience.
Your Global Peer Mentor Can: - Answer your questions or direct you to the appropriate campus or community resources where your concerns may be addressed. - Help you become more involved on campus by sharing knowledge of events, activities, and student organizations.
Panther2Panther Mentor Collective enhances the student experience by linking them one-on-one with a student mentor. Students are paired with someone invested in their success — a person ready to listen, inspire, help navigate challenges, and recognize opportunities.
Certificate in Multicultural Mentoring. This three-part series developed in partnership with the International Mentoring Association and taught by leading scholars in the field builds skills in bridging differences, equity based mentoring, and why mentoring matters for diversity, equity and inclusion.
